The Management Development Training Unit (MDTU) conducted a two-day Training Programme on Personal File Management from 22nd to 23rd January 2026 at the MDTU in Trincomalee. The primary objective of this programme was to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of public officers in maintaining and managing personal files of staff, in accordance with approved administrative rules and government regulations. Special emphasis was placed on ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, systematic organization, and proper record-keeping of personal files within government institutions. The Training programme was conducted in the Tamil medium to facilitate effective learning and participation. Mr.K.Eswarakumar, Administrative Officer from the Department of Provincial Audit, Eastern Province, served as the resource person and shared his extensive experience and professional insights on correct personal file maintenance, common administrative errors, and audit requirements. A total of 27 officers participated in the training programme.
