The Management Development Training Unit (MDTU) conducted a two-day Training Programme on Asset Management and Board of Survey from 29th to 30th January 2026 at the MDTU, Trincomalee. The training programme was designed to strengthen the knowledge and practical competencies of public officers in asset management and board of survey procedures, with particular focus on officers serving in the Trincomalee District. Emphasis was placed on the proper maintenance of government assets, accurate record-keeping, timely conduct of Boards of Survey, and compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements. The training programme was conducted in the Tamil medium to ensure effective understanding and participation. Mr.M.K.Linkeswaran, Chief Accountant, Ministry of Health, Eastern Province, served as the resource person for the training programme. Drawing on his extensive professional experience, he provided clear guidance on asset registers, verification procedures, reporting formats, and common issues identified during audits. A total of 22 officers participated in the training programme.
