Training Programme on Computer Hardware and PC Maintenance

The Management Development Training Unit (MDTU) conducted a two-day Training Programme on Computer Hardware and PC Maintenance from 24th to 25th February 2026 at the RDHS Office, Kalmunai. The programme was organized to support government institutions by strengthening the technical skills of officers responsible for maintaining computers and related equipment in their workplaces. The main objective of the training was to provide participants with practical knowledge of computer hardware components, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting techniques required to keep office computer systems functioning efficiently. The sessions also focused on identifying common technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring proper handling of ICT equipment in government offices. The training programme was conducted in the Tamil medium to ensure better understanding and active participation. The sessions were facilitated by Mr.S.Prasad, ICT Assistant, RDHS Office, Batticaloa, and Mr.T.Sambasivam, ICT Assistant, Zonal Education Office, Akkaraipattu, who served as the resource persons. With their strong technical background and field experience, they shared practical guidance on day-to-day computer maintenance tasks and effective problem-solving methods. A total of 14 officers from various government institutions in the Ampara District participated in the training programme. The training included both theoretical explanations and hands-on practical sessions, enabling participants to gain confidence in handling minor technical issues and maintaining computer systems within their respective offices.
