Training Programme on Office Behavior and Positive Attitude

The Management Development Training Unit (MDTU) conducted a one-day Training Programme on Office Behavior and Positive Attitude on 26th February 2026 at the RDHS Office, Kalmunai. The training programme was specially organized for Primary Grade Officers serving in institutions under the Eastern Provincial Council in the Ampara District. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the professional conduct, interpersonal skills, and positive work attitudes of officers who frequently interact with the public in their day-to-day duties. As Primary Grade Officers often serve as the first point of contact in government offices, the programme highlighted the importance of maintaining a respectful, helpful, and responsible approach when dealing with the public and colleagues. The sessions focused on key aspects such as office etiquette, effective communication, teamwork, time management, maintaining a positive mindset, and providing courteous public service. The training programme was conducted in the Tamil medium to ensure better understanding and active participation. Mr.S.Ranganathan, Divisional Secretary of the Divisional Secretariat, Vellavely, Batticaloa, served as the resource person for the programme. Drawing from his extensive experience in public administration, he shared practical insights and real-life examples on maintaining professionalism and building positive relationships in the workplace. A total of 43 Primary Grade Officers participated in the programme. The interactive discussions and practical guidance helped participants gain a better understanding of their role in delivering friendly, efficient, and people-centered public services.
