The Training Programme on Assets Management in CIGAS was conducted on 26th and 27th March 2026 at the Management Development Training Unit (MDTU), following a request from the Provincial Treasury of the Eastern Province.
This programme primarily focused on asset management, highlighting it as a key component within the CIGAS system. Participants were introduced to the enhanced capabilities of CIGAS, which now integrates advanced asset management features alongside its existing financial management functions. The training demonstrated how these new dimensions can improve efficiency, accountability, and transparency in managing public assets.
A total of sixty-five (65) participants representing various key provincial institutions took part in the programme. Their active participation contributed to the overall success of the training.
